Fannie Bay is a suburb of Darwin, capital city of Northern Territory and has a population of over 2,625 people.
The suburb was named after opera singer, Fanny Carandini by George Goyder, who was a surveyor in the latter half of the 19th century who was sent to Northern Territory to lay out the street plans for the capital, now known as Darwin.
The suburb is close to the beach and the man-made Lake Alexander, with walking and cycling tracks along the Fannie Bay foreshore, great for those with an active lifestyle, along with being close to the city.
